Oscar De La Renta

Oscar de la Renta Born 1932 in the Dominician Republic, Oscar de la Renta is today one of the world's leading fashion designers. At the age of 18, de la Renta left his home for Spain to study painting. An increasing interests for the world of fashion lead de la Renta to start scetching designs and later to work opportunities with Cristóbal Balenciaga, Lanvin and later on Elizabeth Arden as well as Christian Dior. In 1965 de la Renta finally established his own label which has become celebrated for it's ability to make antiquated styles relevant in a modern context as well his feminine ensambles crafted with a couture-like precision.
